Depending upon the location and size of the hole we will either plug it, patch it, or patch plug it. If the hole is on the sidewall or within 1” of the sidewall we will not be able to make any repairs. The reason for not making such a repair is simple. The sidewall of the tire has too much flex and will not hold a repair properly. This could potentially cause severe tire failure known as a blow-out. This can cause the vehicle to steer out of control and lead to potential injury of its passengers.
